Lecture "Ineuntes exeuntes peregrinamur in terra. Lateinische Bau-Inschriften in Erfurt " by Prof. Dr. Kai Brodersen (University of Erfurt) at the Kleine Synagoge (An der Stadtmünze 5).

On numerous buildings in Erfurt's old town we find Latin inscriptions such as "In Christi laude felix Thuringia plaude qui(a) habes donis tantis gaude patronis". But what do they mean, what is their historical context? And what value do such inscriptions have for the city's history?

Together with students from the University of Erfurt, Professor Brodersen has photographed, documented and translated numerous inscriptions. Within the framework of the "Erfurt Lectures" they will present the results of their research to us.

Admission to the lecture evenings is free. To cover the costs, a donation is cordially requested.
