The event is offered as part of the Academic Skills Training programme. Registration is mandatory in order to take part in the event.

After you have submitted your doctoral dissertation, you will need to prepare its defence. This course is designed to help you with all related questions: What is expected of me? What content should I focus on? What is the best way to present it? What can I do to be prepared for the interview? And what are the do's and don'ts for the dissertation defence?
In this two-hour compact course, you will get an overview of the most important answers to the above questions. You will also have the opportunity to talk about your concerns and get your questions answered by the trainer and the other participants. The aim is for everyone to leave the course feeling more confident about defending their own dissertation.

The compact course consists of around 30 minutes of input from the trainer and 90 minutes to answer questions and exchange ideas.
Please note that not all topics relevant to the defence can be addressed in the compact course.
You should therefore consider in advance which topics or questions are most important to you.

Dr Alexander Egeling is a certified trainer and coach with more than 10 years of experience in Management, Career Planning and Communication.
