Information from the organisers
From 11 January to 2 March 2025, Galerie Waidspeicher is showing the exhibition "The Outlines of Control. Performance, Participation, Perception".
The exhibition opening will take place on Friday, 10 January, at 5 pm. As part of the opening, Luise Heidenreich, Kanji Hashimoto and Lilien Augustin will be showing various performances.
The first project of the new year at Galerie Waidspeicher is dedicated to performative artistic practice. Under the title "The Outlines of Control. Performance, Participation & Perception", border areas are explored - both those of the artists and those of the visitors.
In an exhibition, documented performative works and actions by students from the subject area Arts at the University of Erfurt invite visitors to quietly experience and actively participate. Live performances by the students can be experienced on site on many dates. The programme will be complemented by improvisations by professional dancers and musicians.
If watching is not enough for you, you can test your own limits in a performance workshop by choreographer and dance teacher Ronja Deml. The free "Raumweben" workshop takes place daily from 27 January to 29 January from 5 pm to 8 pm. The results will be performed on 30 January at 6 pm. The workshop is open to all age groups. Registration is required and can be sent by email to galeriewaidspeicher@erfurt.de by 23 January.
The exhibition and accompanying programme are under the artistic direction of Pedro Henrique Risse, performance artist and university lecturer of performance courses at the University of Erfurt.
