Re-registration

Attention! Information on the "Deutschlandsemesterticket"

With the introduction of the "Deutschlandsemesterticket", the thoska will no longer be valid as a ticket from the winter semester 2024/25 (01.10.2024). For this reason, the print "Semesterticket + VMT" will no longer be applied during validation for the winter semester. As soon as we know the details of the ordering and retrieval process for the "Deutschlandsemesterticket", we will inform you separately.

Registered students who wish to continue their studies in the following semester at the University of Erfurt must reregister within the deadlines set by the University of Erfurt.

Certificate of enrolment

You can get the certificate in the student portal.

Reregistration periods

for the summer semester:
1 January to 15 February

for the winter semester 2024/25:
15 June to 31 July

Reregistration procedure

In the student portal via the quicklink 'My Student Service' (tab 'Payments') you will find an invoice with the amount of fees and contributions to be paid upon re-registration before the start of the re-registration period. In addition, each student will receive an information e-mail to the e-mail account (@uni-erfurt.de) before the start of the re-registration period.

Re-registration is completed as soon as the amount due for the semester has been paid on time and there are no further blocks on re-registration. Possible re-registration blocks can be viewed in the student portal under 'My Student Services'.

You will be informed of the completed re-registration by e-mail. The current enrolment certificate is then available for download in the student portal. Holders of a thoska (as a student ID card) must validate it before the start of the new semester in the terminals provided for this purpose (print of the new validity period). Without the new print, the thoska loses its validity at the end of the current semester.

Late reregistration

The date of receipt of the money on the University of Erfurt account is decisive for reregistration on time and NOT the order date of the transfer. In order to meet the reregistration deadline, bank transit times must be observed accordingly, i.e. the transfer must be made in good time (a few days before the end of the reregistration period!).

Please note that even in the case of a real-time transfer, a bank transit time must be planned for, especially if it is at the weekend or on public holidays.

In the event of late receipt of funds, a late fee of 20 Euros will be charged. This fee is based on the General Fee Regulations of the University of Erfurt.

Reregistration after last examination performance

A re-registration must be made for the semester in which the last examination or study performance is completed.

Example:
Submission of the last performance by 30.09 --> no re-registration required for the winter semester
Submission of the last performance as of 01.10. --> re-registration required for the winter semester

Re-registration is not required for the assessment of your thesis or for the awarding of your degree certificate.

However, if your degree certificate is not awarded until the following semester, the Thuringian Higher Education Act allows you to re-register for a further semester and remain enrolled there until the end of the semester.
