For the fourth time, the University of Erfurt is awarding the Christoph Martin Wieland Doctoral Prize, sponsored by the University Society, in recognition of outstanding achievements by doctoral candidates from the faculties and the Max-Weber-Kolleg.

The prize represents an important addition to the promotion of young academics at the University of Erfurt and is also intended to make the university's research achievements visible to a broad public. The prize money amounts to EUR 3,000 and EUR 500 for each of the other nominated works. The prize money is to be utilised for the university's own research.
