Commitment Award Winners’ Workshop Helps Navigate Funding Opportunities in Germany

The social entrepreneurs who won the Commitment Award in 2023 joined previous winners in a workshop with Engagement Global to learn about networks, ways for funding and training to further their projects.

The virtual workshop on October 16 was organized in cooperation with Engagement Global, a public German organization that aims to strengthen the development commitment of civil society. Their representative Julia Brychcy gave participants an introduction to their services ranging from information, consultancy, to financing, networking and training. She explained different ways to acquire further funding from public, but also some private sources such as service clubs and suggested country specific partners and resources for the winners of 2023. The meeting was also the first official session for 2023’s winners to talk about their projects’ development so far and first upcoming difficulties for which the group brainstormed potential solutions.
