Past award winners have confirmed that this prize was an important support for them on their academic career path, which not only documents the quality of young researchers, but also generates attention and recognition: "The award of the Max Weber Prize for young researchers was an important step for my academic career," explains private lecturer Dr Magnus Ressel, who is currently on a fellowship at the German Historical Institute in Paris and was an award winner in 2018.
The next award ceremony for the Max Weber Prize for young researchers will take place online on January 9, 2023, due to the "extended Christmas break" at the University of Erfurt. However, this will also give friends and former students of the Max-Weber-Kolleg who cannot be in Erfurt the opportunity to attend.
Professor Hartmut Rosa, director of the Max-Weber-Kolleg: "We are pleased that Sparkassenstiftung will continue to support us for the years 2024 and 2026 by sponsoring the Max Weber Prize for young researchers and hope that these prizes can soon be awarded in presence again."
