Workshop content

Oral presentations play a crucial role in the life of researchers and scientists. In academic conferences, presentations allow you to share your results and to network effectively; in lectures and seminars, they contribute to the learning process of your students; in hearings for postdoctoral or professorial positions, they help you convince future colleagues of the quality of your research.

In this workshop, you will deepen your understanding of how to prepare your presentations efficiently, of how to convince an audience and of how to present in a confident manner. You will have the opportunity to discuss questions and challenges with your peers and to work on your presentations in hands-on exercises.

Topics covered include:

  • How to develop and structure your contents efficiently
  • How to prepare a convincing oral presentation
  • How to make your contents memorable
  • How to present with confidence
  • How to deal with stage fright, blackouts and disturbances

In addition, there is room for your questions and concerns.
