Die 4. Generation libanesischer MESH-Studierender in Erfurt (Oktober 2016 - Februar 2017)

Vier Frauen

Wir begrüßen auch im Wintersemester 2016/17 Studierende der USEK an der Universität. Im Rahmen des MESH werden sie an diversen Lehrveranstaltungen des Lehrstuhles teilnehmen.

Erfurt was totally a new experience for me. As I used to live in Paris before, I never had the chance to interact with people like I did in Erfurt. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, especially the Universität's administration & professors. They are good listeners and they try to help in any way they can.

As for the town, I really enjoyed the peaceful ambiance and the beauty of the nature. Christmas market is a fairytale. I still can picture the view in my head whenever I think about it!! Though we used to live in a small room, this is where we created our unforgettable memories. Concerning the studies, the teaching method is so new yet so comprehensive and useful. I really have benefited from every single new information I studied.

In general everything was perfect. I encourage every student to attend the University of Erfurt or at least visit Erfurt for a very peaceful and enjoyable vacation. Thank you for everyone who helped to make my stay in Erfurt so special.

Looking forward to get back again :)

Eine Gruppe von Frauen an einer Straßenbahn-Haltestelle

It was a new and an incredible experience. During our first days, we went to the Oktoberfest, we tried the local beer: it was delicious, we took the tramway and we went around between the wonderful architecture. Everything was amazing. We had the pleasure to learn a new language, a new culture, to visit new cities in Thuringia.

Our German roommates helped us by guiding us where to go, which cities to visit, and also to improve our German language a bit: ”Sie waren sehr nett”. There were many things that differ from our Hometown “Lebanon”: First, all the shops and malls are closed on Sunday; Second, and we finish the class, all the students knock on the table, and before asking the German students about it, and when this happens for the first time, we were looking at each other like: “What’s going on?”; Third, the food sorting …

Concerning the classes, everything was very well organized. We had intensive German language, we learned new ways of studying and the courses were based on discussion: “Das ist sehr interessant.” Die Erfahrung war sehr wichting! We met new people, we made a good friendships. We had sweet time, good memories, an unforgettable memories. Thank you for giving us this opportunity.

Thank you for taking care of us.
