Study areas and literature for your courses

Textbook collection

The textbook collection is located on the ground floor of the library. Here you can find multiple copies of the most important study literature. Books from the textbook collection can only be borrowed by students and staff of Erfurt University (loan period: 4 weeks).

 

Course collections

Important books for current courses may be set up in a course collection. These items are not for loan.

On the library catalogue they are marked with "Semesterapparat" and a two-digit number (e.g. SEM 25). All course colllections are located on the 2nd floor of the library.

 

Group study rooms

Group study rooms are located on the 2nd floor.

Here you can work, learn, discuss or present the results of your work in groups without disturbing others. We recommend advance booking.

Carrels in the PC-Room can be booked for individual academic work on an hourly or daily basis.

Parents with small children are welcome to use the family room on the 2^nd floor.

Carrels

Students of Erfurt University working on a master’s or bachelor’s thesis may book a carrel  for individual work for up to two months.

 

Lockers

Lockers for your personal working materials are available in the reading room for the duration of 3 months.

 

Multi-media centre

The multi-media centre on the ground floor is equipped with PCs and can be used for concentrated quiet working.

In the three media carrels a variety of technical equipment for listening to and watching CDs, DVDs, video cassettes, blu-rays and other audiovisual media can be used.
