Short Biography
Martina Karl is a PhD Candidate at the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy at the University of Erfurt under the supervision of Professor Heike Grimm. She holds a Master degree in International Business Administration from the University of Vienna, Austria. Martina has worked in the consumer goods industry for many years, as a Marketing and Innovations Manager for companies like Procter & Gamble or Danone. For the last years she has taught courses in Innovation Management and Communication Politics at different universities, and supports small businesses and startups with business development.
Martina’s PhD project focuses on the transferability of private sector management models into the public sector. She researches a conceptual and empirical transfer of the Customer-Journey-Model into the context of higher education.
