Forschungsprofil
Globale öffentliche Politik befasst sich mit der Herausforderung, transnationale Probleme in Ermangelung eines globalen Leviathans zu regeln. Als solche umfasst sie so unterschiedliche Politikbereiche wie Handel, Migration, Finanzregulierung, wirtschaftliche Entwicklung, oder Energie, Klima und Nachhaltigkeit. Vor dem Hintergrund disperser politischer Autorität in einer globalisierten Welt untersucht der Forschungsbereich die Herausforderung der Bereitstellung globaler öffentlicher Güter, das Problem des Schutzes globaler Gemeingüter, und die Rolle globaler Netzwerke und globaler öffentlich-privater Partnerschaften bei der Erzielung transnationaler Lösungen. Besonderer Augenmerk wird hierbei gerichtet auf die Dynamiken von Politiktransfer und -diffusion sowie globaler Best Practices und Akteurskonstellationen auf allen Governance-Ebenen.
