One thesis from each faculty as well as from the Max-Weber-Kolleg was nominated for this, which had previously been awarded top marks. Scientific originality, innovative methodological approaches, brilliant execution as well as high relevance for current research are the decisive characteristics of all nominated dissertations.
The prize, which is once again sponsored by the University Society in cooperation with the "Volksbank Thüringen Mitte", is endowed with a total of 5000 euros - 3000 euros for the 1st prize, 500 euros each for the nominees.
The award ceremony will start at 6 p.m. in the Centre for Communication and Information (KIZ) and will take place as part of the university-wide "Doctorate Day" on Wednesday, June 14. This starts already in the morning. All interested parties are cordially invited to attend. More information will follow.
