New podcast: "GeKonnt Gesund"

"GeKonnt Gesund" – this is the title of a new health communication podcast at the University of Erfurt. In it, students on the Health Communication Master's programme (GeKo for short) deal with various health topics such as conspiracy theories in the climate context, women's health and organ donation and prepare them as podcast episodes. For example, in the very first episode, the makers ask the question: What does climate change do to our psyche?

The idea for the podcast came from Leonie Otten, PhD student and research assistant in the Professorship of Health Communication. She offered the students the opportunity to work on a podcast episode as an examination assignment.

"Alone or in teams of two, they can practise how research communication works," says Leonie Otten. The students can then be creative when researching, editing and recording. Beforehand, of course, there was an introduction to the basics of podcasting with lots of tips on production & post-production and recording techniques. Just listen!
