Online lecture by Dr Oliver Vettermann (FIZ Karlsruhe - Leibniz Institute for Information Infrastructure GmbH) as part of the TKFDM Coffee Lectures in the winter semester 2024/25

About the event

The Thuringian Competence Network for Research Data Management networks the research data management advice centres located at the Thuringian universities (University of Erfurt, Ilmenau University of Technology, Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Bauhaus University Weimar) and makes its services available to all Thuringian universities. We offer counselling and training on all issues relating to research data. Among other things, we regularly organise coffee lecture series - the current series is dedicated to EU legal acts that explicitly deal with data. The lectures show the current legal situation and how knowledge of this affects the handling of research data.

In his lecture, Oliver Vettermann gives an FDM-focussed overview and attempts to clarify the question: What are the benefits of the Data Act for science and research?

You can find more information about the Coffee Lecture series and how to register on the network's website.
