Interview by the Science Media Centre on disinformation

How does disinformation actually work? The Science Media Centre interviewed four scientists on this question, including Fabian Prochazka from the University of Erfurt.

The interview shows the current state of research and provides answers on various aspects of the topic: the general mode of action, risk factors and vulnerable groups, the influence on political opinion-forming and voting decisions as well as the relative influence of disinformation compared to other election-relevant factors.
