Successful participation in the 74th Annual Conference of the ICA (Gold Coast, Australia)

How does online feedback influence local journalists' perceptions of their audience? A new study by Henriette Pohle and Fabian Prochazka sheds light on this question and was presented at the 74th annual conference of the International Communication Association in Australia.

What role does online feedback actually play for the audience perceptions of female local journalists? This question was the subject of a qualitative study by Henriette Pohle and Fabian Prochazka. Henriette Pohle presented the most important results of the interview study entitled "The Audience Does Not Exist Any More Than The Germans Do" - The Role of Online Feedback for Audience Images of Regional and Local Journalists in the panel "What's the Golden Metric? Analyzing Audience Feedback" at the 74th Annual Conference of the International Communication Association in Australia.

Fabian Prochazka also presented a joint study with Karolin Soontjens, Kathleen Beckers, David Hoppmann and Andreas Schuck entitled Projection in Journalists' Public Opinion Perceptions.

The presentations provided an excellent opportunity to discuss our own findings and reflections with researchers from all over the world and to network. We look forward to taking many new suggestions and ideas home with us and are excited to see which collaborations will develop from the numerous discussions.
