Cornelia Betsch visits the International College of the University Ca' Foscari Venezia

Cornelia Betsch, professor of Health Communication at the University of Erfurt, will be working as a visiting researcher at the Università Ca' Foscari Venezia for two weeks.

During her stay at the Collegio Internazionale Ca' Foscari, in Venice, Prof. Dr. Cornelia Betsch will give two lectures as part of the minor “Data, Information and Society” on the influence of information on behavior during disease outbreaks and the role of misinformation in social media.

  • September 30, 2024: Social media and misinformation: The user's perspective
  • October 7, 2024: The information-behavior link: How are disease outbreaks affected by information?

She has also been invited as a keynote speaker at the “College Conversation” on October 4 2024, a biannual public event organized by the Collegio Internazionale Ca' Foscari in collaboration with the students.
