A position as research assistant within the Research Unit on “Voluntariness” are available at the University of Erfurt. Historians specializing in the field of North American History may apply by May 4, 2024, at the latest.

In 2024 several new projects are going to start within the Research Unit on “Voluntariness” and a couple of new colleagues will join our team at the Department of History as well. One of the new sub-projects has been developed by Jürgen Martschukat and it will be conducted by a PhD-student for the next three years. With a focus on North American History it will be dealing with questions of voluntariness, self-care, and health practices in the US around 1865.

Historians specializing in that field and who are interested in exploring questions of governmentality with regard to the topic of voluntariness may apply for a part-time position as research assistant by May 4, 2024, at the latest.
