Lecture by Dr Merav Schnitzer (Oranim College of Education, Israel).

In 1863, a medieval Jewish treasure was discovered by chance. In this lecture, I will reveal the story of a missing piece of jewelry from this treasure—the search for which, after it vanished from the museum's curatorial display, led to surprising discoveries about the medieval world of women, both Jewish and Christian. These discoveries challenge previously accepted perceptions in historical research. (Merav Schnitzer)

Participation

The lecture will be offered hybrid, participation is possible on campus (C18 | room 03.09-D02) and via Webex.
