The University of Erfurt, the Thuringian Parliament and the FunkeMedien Group will continue their joint public lecture series on the topic of "Artificial Intelligence" in the winter semester 2023/24. The first event is on Thursday, 16 November. The guest will be the medical ethicist and chair of the German Ethics Council, Professor Alena Buyx. The event, entitled "Horror or Saviour? Ethical Considerations on AI" begins at 6.15 p.m. in lecture hall 2 of the Centre for Communication and Information (KIZ) on the Nordhäuser Straße campus.
The date for the second lecture is Monday, 4 December. Ronja Kemmer, the chairwoman of the Enquete Commission on Artificial Intelligence of the German "Bundestag", will then be a guest in the "Landtag". And the new year continues on Monday, 15 January, with a lecture by Professor Antonio Krüger, CEO of the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence, in the "Landtag".
