Award ceremony and expertise in health communication: a review of the DGPs 2022

The congress of the German Society for Psychology (DGPs) took place in mid-September 2022. At the largest scientific psychology congress in the German-speaking world, scientists from the health communication team also present current results from basic and applied psychological research.

Full expertise in the field of Health Communication: Dr. Lars Korn & Sarah Eitze both presented on the topic of vaccination, Dr. Philipp Sprengholz & Dr. Mattis Geiger on some results of the COSMO study and Dr. Philipp Schmid & Frederike Taubert in the area of misinformation.

Dr. Mirjam Jenny chaired the symposium "Effective science communication based on psychological insights - quo vadis".

Aditionally and after being postponed several times due to the COVID19 pandemic Prof. Dr. Cornelia Betsch could finally be awared with the German Psychology Prize 2021 in person.

Many interesting impressions were gathered, new contacts were made and ideas for new research were gained. All in all, a very successful congress!
