The Chair for the History of Science invites all interested to the talk of Christopher Klauke (MPIWG Berlin) on December 5, 2023.

As part of the colloquiums program in the winter term 2023/2024 Christopher Klauke (MPIWG Berlin) will hold a talk on "Zwischen Datenkolonialismus und Pawnee Ontologie. Politiken der Musikerfassung in der Vergleichenden Musikwissenschaft um 1900" on December 5 at 6pm in LG4/D06.

Christopher Klauke is Predoctoral Fellow (Sep 2022-Feb 2026) at the MPI for the History of Science. His research project "The Politics of Music Capturing. Music Information Retrieval and Ethnomusicological Research, 1900–1970" explores the ways in which concrete political structures and beliefs have influenced the historical development, establishment, and operativity of the knowledge techniques of music capturing.

All interested - colleagues and students - are cordially invited to join in person or online.

Please let Bernhard Kleeberg or Carola Oßmer know if you're interested in joining the talk.

You are in the news section of the Professorship for the History of Science.
