In this online seminar organised by the "Arbeiterkind" initiative, committed university members who would like to support students receive information on scholarships, letters of reference and more.

Students from non-academic families are still underrepresented at German universities. And due to a lack of prior knowledge in their home environment, they rarely apply for a scholarship, even though foundations and other scholarship providers have created this opportunity to finance their studies in order to promote equal opportunities. The "Arbeiterkind" initiative is offering free national online events in November to address this issue on the way to greater educational equality.

At the event on 25 November, the organisers want to provide information about the variety of study scholarships, share their own experiences and give tips for reference letters. Stefan Messingschlager, a member of the “Studienstiftung's” selection committee, will also be taking part in the dialogue.
