Christian Tischmeyer is the new Diversity Officer at the University of Erfurt

Christian Tischmeyer, programme coordinator for the Master of Public Policy at the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy, is the new Diversity Officer at the University of Erfurt. The Senate elected him for three years at its meeting on 12 June. He took up this role on 1 August.

Tischmeyer succeeds Niklas Radenbach, who has been Diversity Officer since 2021. In his new role, he now looks after the interests of all members, relatives, doctoral students and student applicants at our university, in particular those of students with a disability, mental illness or chronic illness. In coordination with the Equal Opportunity Officer, the representative body for severely disabled persons and the Inclusion Officer, it is involved in the planning and organisation of teaching, study and working conditions for members and relatives of the university, advises them and works to eliminate existing disadvantages and barriers. It has the right to participate, submit proposals and speak in all committees of the university's self-administration and works closely with the University of Erfurt's Diversity Advisory Board.
