Image film

The film shows the library in its remarkable rooms at Friedenstein Castle and valuable objects from the early modern collections and the Perthes Gotha Collection. The director of the library, Dr Kathrin Paasch, was interviewed by the Weimar company Nivre Film & Studio GmbH, which produced the film. The young scholars shown are working at the Gotha Research Center.

The film is accompanied by three clips in which collection curators talk about their work: Dr Petra Weigel on the Perthes Collection, Dr Feras Krimsti on the Oriental Manuscript Collection and Dr Daniel Gehrt on the Early Modern Collection.
