You can reach the library via the palace courtyard and the Duke's Staircase (Herzogstreppe) or the lift in the corner of the north and east wings (coming from the station or car park on the right, from the old town on the left). The entrance is on the 1st floor.

The retractable bollards at the courtyard portal are operated by the castle guard (intercom on the left).
