In the first year of study, the first didactics module (FDA) of your general education subject takes place in the winter semester as planned. In most cases, the practical training component is covered by practical school exercises at the university, but in some cases you will also go to the placement school. Building on this, you will complete the second or, depending on the subject, third didactic module of your general education subject in the summer semester. Most subject areas include a school internship as part of the training programme.

In the first year of study, internships in the field of educational science take place from the winter semester onwards. It is necessary to attend the preparatory course for this. Building on this, you will complete your first internship in the vocational subject area in the winter semester of the second year of study and then, from the winter semester of the second year of study, you will complete the didactics modules of your vocational subject areas, which build on each other.

Before you can begin the didactic training programme in your general education subject, you must havecompleted the subject-specific modules . The didactic training programme is scheduled for the third year of study. Most subjects have planned the training content in a consecutive, staged system. Parallel to your subject-specific academic and didactic training for the general education subject (see section above), you will also complete your internships for the vocational specialisation over the course of the 6 semesters.
