The narrative reflects the experiences of those affected, while at the same time opening up a space for personal exploration. „Written from the heart having experienced turbulent but precious times caring for a loved one with cancer, the novel brings out the importance of the relationship between patient and doctor“ (Professor J. A. Ledermann, Clinical Director, UCL Cancer Institute). „It is a magnificent work about the many facets of relationships with ourselves and the people we care about“ (Professor Jalid Sehouli, Director of the Clinic for Gynaecology and Oncological Surgery, Charité, Berlin). The story is leading narratively to core ideas of Eckhart, letting go, action and contemplation, time and timelessness. This book is for anyone who values literature as a means of philosophical reflection and is looking for a contemporary approach to the great mystic of the Middle Ages.
