New technologies always give rise to fears that human labour will become less valuable. The latest example of this is the debate about the consequences of artificial intelligence for the labour market. What do we know about whether there really are displacement effects, and what do such fears do to us? Which scenarios are most plausible here and what are the implications for political issues regarding the reform of education and social systems? These and other questions will be addressed in the lecture by Professor Achim Kemmerling from the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy at the University of Erfurt.
The other dates of the AI lecture series in the summer semester can be found on our event poster (in German only).
