We are happy to support you in your search for literature and advise you on questions about the catalogues, databases and interlibrary loan as well as reproduction services.

Availability times for manuscripts and old prints

Due to the seasonal low temperatures in the stacks of the Research Library, it is necessary for conservation reasons to have ordered titles gradually adjust to heated room climate before use.

Therefore, from Monday, 11 November 2024 until further notice, manuscripts and prints published before 1850 will first be available after several hours:

  • Order by 9.00 a.m.: use first possible at 3.30 p.m
  • Order after 9.00 a.m.: use possible on the following day
