Brandt School launches digital learning lab to enhance students' academic experiences

Technology is continuously transforming industries, and the higher education sector is also undergoing a profound digital transformation that enables students to embrace digital innovation for an enhanced and immersive educational experience. With advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence, new digital tools for students and the wider academic community are regularly being produced. These digital learning tools provide a comprehensive shift in the way knowledge is accessed, shared, and applied. With the motivation to create a dedicated space for students to explore and experiment with various digital tools, Dr. Hasnain Bokhari has initiated a Digital Learning Lab for the students of the Brandt School under the auspices of the project "Digitalization and Internationalization of Education". 

The Digital Learning Lab provides a dedicated space for students to explore and experiment with various digital tools, software, and techniques that enhance their learning experience. The lab's primary objective is to empower students with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the digital world effectively while maximizing their academic potential. As an inclusive and participatory initiative, the lab operates on a unique approach: "For the Students, By the Students." In each session, students take the lead by showcasing their expertise in specific software or techniques, sharing innovative ideas, and facilitating interactive discussions.  

The lab aims to run throughout the entire semester, with a session held once every month. The next two sessions are planned for June 19, 2023, and July 10, 2023 (12:30-14:00, CET) in LG2/131. The lab sessions will also be offered in a hybrid format, and students can also attend the sessions via WebEx.
