Research Group offers Fellowship for Ukrainian Post-Docs

The "Religion and Urbanity" research group at the Max Weber Kolleg of the University of Erfurt is offering a nine-month fellowship for refugee postdocs who have previously worked at a university in Ukraine. The fellowship is available immediately and includes a monthly honorarium, accommodation and a job at the Max Weber Kolleg.

To be eligible for a fellowship, the candidate must propose a research project to be conducted during the fellowship within the Religion and Urbanity framework, to have successfully have completed a PhD thesis, and hitherto having been affiliated to a university in Ukraine. Fellows are expected to participate actively in the interdisciplinary and intercultural life of the research group and the Max Weber Centre, to present one colloquium each term and contribute to the open access platform Religion and Urbanity online.

Background

The Fellowship is part of the international initiative #ScienceforUkraine. The aim of the voluntary global community of students and researchers from academic institutions is to collect and distribute information about support opportunities at the university, national and international level for graduate students and researchers directly affiliated to an academic institution in Ukraine. On the website, Ukrainian students and researchers can find paid academic positions, academic networking and temporary accommodation opportunities. At the same time, it is possible to register support offers on the site.
