On 30 November 1943, Etty Hillesum was murdered in Ausschwitz at the age of 29. In her diaries, the Amsterdam Jew reflects on what it means to remain human even though everyone hates. She writes about sex, the search for God and friendship. On the 80th anniversary of her death, Etty Hillesum's writing enters into dialogue with selected organ compositions of the post-war period.
