University of Erfurt has a new University Council

The University of Erfurt has a new University Council.

It is composed of the following persons: Professor Andrea Bührmann (Director of the Institute for Diversity Research, University of Göttingen); Melanie Haack (Head of the ZDF Regional Studio Thuringia) and Professor Bärbel Kopp (Professor of Primary School Education and Didactics with a focus on teaching and learning). Dr Hanna Proner and Dr Andreas Stucke will remain on the University Council for another term. Likewise, State Secretary Carsten Feller will also remain as a ministerial member – his term of office had not yet expired. And internal university members in future will be Dr Verena Laschinger (research assistant at the Faculty of Philosophy) and as a professorial member Professor Andrea Schmid (Faculty of Education).

The term of office of the new University Council is four years and begins on 1 October 2023.
