Nationwide Digital Day: Gotha Research Library takes part!

The Gotha Research Library of the University of Erfurt is taking part in the fifth nationwide Digital Day of the "Digital for All" initiative, an alliance of 28 organisations from the fields of civil society, culture, science, business, welfare and the public sector.

The aim of the Digital Day, which this year's theme is "Artificial Intelligence", is to promote digital participation in Germany. The Gotha Research Library's events on 6 June at Friedenstein Castle and the Perthes Forum Gotha will focus on the library's collaborative and collection-related digital strategy as well as the tasks and processes involved in digitisation. During the events, visitors will be guided through the digitisation centre and given an insight into scanning technology and the possibilities and limitations of digitisation based on selected projects and collections (manuscripts, hand-drawn maps, large formats).

Lecture and guided tours: "Bibliothek digital" and "Perthes digital."

Interested parties can register by 3 June at the following email address: veranstaltungen.fb@uni-erfurt.de.
